Take Preventive Measures Before & During Your Trip

At MedCare Clinics, we recognize that preparing for a trip is not the only task involved. It's crucial to keep your health and wellbeing in mind when you go out on new experiences. Our travel medicine services are intended to keep you safe and well while you're away from home.

We recommend you book a minimum of 6 weeks in advance of your departure, as some vaccinations may require a series of injections.

Travel advice is NOT covered by OHIP. The consultation fee reimburses the healthcare provider and nurse for the time taken to prepare for your visit and the time taken to give you travel advice as well as any vaccines that would need to be administered. The costs for the vaccine(s) will be billed separately by your pharmacy. Please speak with your pharmacist for further details.

During your travel medicine consultation, the doctor will provide you with relevant information and advice on the current recommendations for immunizations, prevention of communicable disease, and other health risks specific to the areas to which you are traveling.

What You Need to Know About Travel Medicine Routine Immunizations

Are you up to date on your routine immunizations? There are many vaccines beyond the standard childhood vaccinations that are recommended for adults as well. Speak with a MedCare Clinics healthcare provider to ensure that you are up to date on all of your routine immunizations.

Travellers are advised to obtain Travel Health Insurance prior to their trip.
